Ecumenical Ministry

St. John’s Latvian Lutheran Church takes an active part in ecumenical ministry through
its participation in “The Churches on-the-Hill,” a community of 9 congregations in the
Forest Hill area of Toronto. We participate in the many activities of the “Churches on-
the-Hill, among those are:

• The Churches on-the-Hill Food Bank

• Advent community choral service

• The Good Friday Walk

• Annual dinner of church representatives

• Monthly meetings of clergy

• World Day of Prayer

• Various Christian education, public service and musical events
